The road to buying a house for sale in Laguna or in any place is not as smooth as the expressway. It is bumpy, rocky and shaky. But now, here you are enjoying the fruits of your hard work through the years.

The house is really good. It satisfies your tastes, your choice of colors and everything but the question is how can you preserve the freshness of your house? How can you make it lasts longer?

Oh, so you didn’t think of this before? Luckily you are on the right page. Here, check these tips on how to preserve your newly bought house for sale.

1. Always clean the gutters. Remove leaves and other kinds of stuff that should not be there. Make sure that the gutters are clear from any obstruction that will prevent the flow of water during rainy days.

2. Check the faucets, pipes and roof for leaks. Fix as soon as possible.

3. Check the foundation and basement walls and floors for dampness. If you see something that is unusual, go to your carpenter and let him check things out.

4. Vacuum and dust your home on a regular basis to prevent dirt from damaging the cool finishes of your cabinets, walls, floors, centerpieces, tables and other surfaces.

5. Hire professionals to check your gas appliances once a year. Experts may find things that you didn’t catch at first that could prevent serious issues from developing.

6. Trim any tree branches that are hanging over the house that can bring damage during a storm. They can also drop leaves into the gutters and can cause mildew problems by shading the house.

7. If you have a garage, always test the door opener to ensure that it reverses when it hits an obstruction or when its sensor beam is interrupted.

8. Inspect window and door caulking on a monthly basis.

9. If you have smoke detectors, keep in mind to check and replace the batteries yearly. Also, hard-wired smoke detectors have backup batteries. Make sure to check them too.

10. Clean kitchen sink disposal every month.

11. Take a deep clean every six months. Give your house a full clean-up. Just like when you do a body scrub.
